Driving day and Roadster shopping

Bad hotel experience at the Holiday Inn Express in Cape Coral. Very loud music form a club next door that we were not warned about and a beastly unruly child in a nearby room. We shared our feelings with management.

On the road early Wednesday from Cape Coral to two auto dealerships in St. Petersburg. Charles is exploring the possibly of buying a new Porsche, Mercedes or Audi roadster sometime soon. At the end of the day the Mercedes SLK 250 had a slight edge over the Porsche Boxter primarily because the Mercedes is slightly easier for Charles to enter and exit with his bad knees.

After scoping the cars we drove north to the town of Crystal River. About two hours north of St. Pete. Had an ok dinner early at Cody's Roadhouse and after a nice walk headed to bed around 9pm at a quiet Holiday Inn Express this time.

I think we'll head for Cedar Key tomorrow. Only an hour and a half drive up the coast but we need a short drive day. We have five days to explore before we're due to meet Larry in New Orleans on April 9th.
