Our Ginny Porch

Our porch faces southwest. Yesterday we spent an hour here in the morning savoring our good fortune, appreciating the quiet beauty of our surroundings and watched neighbors motor out to the Gulf for some fishing via the canal adjacent to our house.

After finishing up some unpacking and laundry chores we opted to walk to our local pub "The No Name Pub" for lunch.
Choices are too heavy and expensive. I doubt we'll spend much time there. Too bad as it's a nice walk and quite close by.

Still recovering from all the travel Charles sacked out for a while after lunch while Gordon worked on laying out the blog format.

A comfortable 74 degrees and sunny Gordon took some afternoon sun while Charles did some reading.

In the late afternoon and purely for health reasons and to stave off Malaria we consumed an appropriate amount of gin mixed with lime and tonic. We augmented with fine imported cigars that served to ward off (as yet unseen) mosquitos.

So a pretty laid back first full day on Big Pine and we loved it.
