Skunked !!

Another beautiful morning. Another hour spent just enjoying where we are. A Great White egret is perched on the edge of the canal. Beautiful. All that's missing is Gordon's double tall latte. Grumble.

Left for Islamorada Key after a light breakfast. Being gluttons for punishment we figured to try our hands at fishing again. But first a stop at our fav sporting goods store for a few necessities (i.e. more shirts).

Fished from Conch Key bridge again hoping for more Pompano and Charles' first fish. We both skunked. Nothing biting that we could raise. We've decided to catch the early morning flood tide next time. Cooler and maybe more productive.

Headed south toward Marathon and decided to stop at Sombrero Beach for a nice walk and maybe a dip. Beach was pretty crowed and the water too cool for Charles. Equal to Cape Cod summer water temp ~ 72 degrees. And Gordon forgot a towel !

Stopped at our favorite fish restaurant and market before heading back to Big Pine. Charles had some good sea scallops and Gordon a nice cool glass of water!
